Elaine Stephenson

Owner, Interior Designer

Elaine founded her interior design firm over 20 years ago on the belief that well-designed spaces enhance lives. Her goal is to create spaces that are timeless, functional, and reflect the client’s personal vision. Her projects have been published in many publications including Home Magazine, The Roanoker Magazine, and Southwest Virginia Living. Elaine is also a member of the American Society of Interiors Designers (ASID).

Seely Stephenson Nicholson

Interior Designer

Seely lives in Raleigh, NC and joined her mom at ESI in 2018 as an interior designer. She works on projects all over the Carolinas, or wherever her clients happen to be! After working for Solis Betancourt and Sherrill in Washington, DC, Seely got a Bachelor of Science in interior design at Meredith College in Raleigh. She brings a unique and youthful perspective to Elaine Stephenson Interiors.

Katie Stevens

Design Assistant, Business Manager

Katie joined the team in 2017 as the business liaison to our vendors, and helps with day-to-day procurement and project management. She also brings a fresh perspective to all design projects.

Eileen Dickey

Design Assistant, Business Manager

Eileen has been with ESI for over 15 years. She has a great eye when assisting on design projects and handles client billing.

Paula Irons

Design Assistant/Business Manager

Paula has been with ESI for over 15 years. She is one of Elaine’s oldest friends from their time at Hollins University. She has a wonderful sense of fun and diplomacy, and is very creative.
